One Piece Film Redstoryboard size reveal shocks fans
In a new tweet, theOne Piece Film RedTwitter account revealed the movie’s storyboard is over 850 pages in total.
The tweet uses the anime industry term çµµã³ã³ã, ekonte. As explained by the wonderfulSakugabooru Blog, this term refers to an anime’s blueprints. These are simple drawings that function as a visual script, drawn on special sheets with fields for the animation cut number, notes for the staff, and the matching lines of dialoges.
Furthermore, the photo shows the storyboard was clearly separated into A, B, and C parts. Confirming the One Piece Film Redmovie will develop its story in three acts.
Depending on the director and staff of an anime, certain storyboards are much more detailed than others. To the point where the storyboard feels like complete illustrations. Certain anime adaptation projects also straight-up use panels from the original manga for the storyboard. For example, that’s what Production I.G. did with theanime adaptation of horror mangaUzumakiby Junji Ito.
