DC head and the director of the upcoming filmSupermanJames Gunn has firmly dismissed the possibility of including several songs in the new movie, notably David Bowie’sStarman, which fans have been eagerly looking forward to. The song has been featured in multiple movies and shows over the years along with many viral Superman fan edits. Fans even wanted Gunn to use the song for theGuardians of the Galaxymovies.

“One of the reasons I wouldn’t use it (after being asked hundreds of times to use it for the past ten years in Guardians,”he said, as perComicBook.com, while responding to fans pointing out the popularity of the song in the fan-made edits.

While he did not say anything clearly about the trailer release, Gunn didmention,“We’re only a little over halfway thru shooting,”while replying to the fan query. The filming of the first DCU movie, which is scheduled to release in 2025, is expected to wrap by summer, as shared by Corenswet’s stunt performer, Justin Howell inan earlier interview.
