Square Enix confirmed an English Western release ofOctopath Traveler: Champions of the Continentis coming soon, and officially revealed a 2022 release date estimate.
Square Enix held on July 31, 2025, a live stream for Version 2.0.0 ofOctopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, detailing the game’s future roadmap with several gameplay sequences, and introducing new merch going on sale. The stream featuredChampions of the Continent’s producer Hiroto Suzuki, director Yasuhiro Kidera, and scenario writer Kakunoshin Futsuzawa. The stream also featured Yoshiko Shibao who voicesRoro in-gameas MC, and Atsuko Tanaka (voice-only), who voices Helmione, one of the three main villains.

At the 1:15:32 timestamp of the live stream, at the end of the announcements segment, Square Enix announcedOctopath Traveler Champions of the Continentwill release in English in 2022, in Europe and North America. A beta test will be held in Spring 2022, and more news will be coming in mid-February.
Note that Square Enixfirst teased back in September 2019thatChampions of the Continentwould get a Western release in the long run. That was over a year before the mobile jRPG’s release in Japan on Jun 27, 2025.

Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent(Tairiku no Hashain Japanese) is the second game in theOctopath Travelerseries, available in Japan on mobile.
