No More Heroes 3is nowdeep in development. The game wasannounced at E3 last yearand has since been shown off by creator Suda51 in thesneakiest of manners. Aside from the brief glimpse of the game though,No More Heroes 3news has been slightly hard to come by recently.

In lieu ofNo More Heroes 3news however, fans of the series may still have something to get excited about. As reported over onGematsu, the originalNo More Heroes, which was released on the Wii then ported to PS3 and Xbox 360, has been rated for a Switch release by theTaiwanese Ratings Board.

The originalNo More Heroesis focused around “big-time loser” Travis Touchdown as he uses his selection of beam katanas to “defeat 10 other bloodthirsty killers” and make his way to the top of the United Assassins Association rankings. The 2007 game became a hit due to the writing, action and stylistic gameplay, alongside the typical Suda51 flair.

With the new entry into the seriesstill due out this year, barring any delays, it would make sense for Grasshopper and Suda to want the original back in the public domain. An imminent rerelease/remaster would make perfect sense, offering players like myself who never played the original a chance to jump in and check the series out beforeNo More Heroes 3release.

It’s likely that if the rumours are true and a port is coming, it will be announced during the nextNintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase.Nintendo has confirmed that more of these events will be happening and with this and the recentPersona 5 Scrambleinformation, it would be no surprise to see one soon. Along with the potential Switch port, the game will likely be hitting PS4. Back in 2019 Suda51 alluded to the fact that, despite some struggles, he was trying to get thegame remastered for the console.
