What Are Fae Towers?
You will discover these towers as you explore the numerous realms present in the game. You will be required tocomplete these towersin order to progress through the game, but sometimes you may find yourself faced with a particularly daunting challenge. Fae Towers can have several enemies present at once, or even some really tricky jumps to make. This means that some players might want tobe more aware of their surroundingsbychanging their camera to a third person perspective.
The first Fae Tower you will face will be part of a Quest for Octavia, but that does not mean it will be easy. You will still need to be ready for whatever it throws at you.

Overcoming Fae Tower Challenges
Once you pass through the doors, it seems you will always need to deal with some enemies before you get to the next challenge. These enemiescan come in the form of waves, with the next batch coming after the previous one. Aim for weak pointssuch as the head or heartto deal the most damage — the number will beyellow instead of redwhen you hit one of these. Also,be mindful of any trapsthat might be in the room as this can end you up in a corner, or surrounded by enemies with no way out except to go through them.
Don’t get backed into a corneras waves on both sides can mean you could face sequential damage from these enemies. Try totake out weak enemies at rangewhen possible to reduce their numbers. The kinds of enemies you face will differ wildly based on many factors, such aswhich realm you are inand what the difficulty is. Once the floor is clear of enemies and no more appear to be coming, you can safelyclaim all the drops, Essence, and Essence Bundlesthat are scattered about the room. Then it’s time to go up to the next floor where your next challenge awaits.
You will have another combat encounter ahead of you, so do not burn through all of your resources and ammo early.
The middle challenge will be some form ofnon-combat-focused challenge, such as a puzzle or maze. If you find yourself in a Maze, you may utilize the tried and true approach offollowing the left-hand side at all times. If you never take your left hand off the side of a wall when entering a maze, you will always be able to find either the exit or end up back at the start.This is a surefire way to not get lost in a maze. If you are facing a Bastille of Agility, you will have all the tools you need to complete it thanks to those Climbing Picks and Umbrella you packed. Bastilles of Intelligence willrequire you to activate specific crystalsin order to clear the challenge.
Once you clear this second challenge, the final onewill be combat yet again. You should make sure you arefully healed up, take any buffs you may need, and get your best weapons ready. There isno need to hold backor conserve ammo as once you clear this wave you can return to your base and restock whatever you need. Once the final challenge is overcome,claim all the drops, Essence Bundles, and Fae Chestas your reward.
