Amazon Gameshas announced a brand new Public Test Realm (PTR) forNew World, and it’s set to release later today on Steam.
ManyNew Worldplayers may have begun noticing that a second version of the game has appeared in their Steam library. If you’re curious about what the new PTR version is for, here’s everything you need to know, including what time the servers go live.
What IsNew World’sPublic Test Realm?
New World’sPublic Test Realm is a limited availability server that will allow players to jump in and try out some new features that aren’t quite ready for a full release.
As noted by Amazon Games, these features are not the final versions, so players that join a PTR server may encounter bugs, glitches, crashes, or various other issues.
The aim of the PTR is to allow players to get their hands on new features early and provide the developers with feedback for when they are included in the full release.
It’s also important to note that once features are released in the main version ofNew World, the PTR servers will be closed until a future test is announced by the developers.
