Apparently, Pokemon developer Game Freak has suffered a major data with news of it surfacing today, and a ton of info has been compromised, and one of those is info on a new Pokemone game in development atGame Freakand ILCA.
The confirmation of the leak comes fromNintendeal, who mentions that the source code for Pokemon HG (HeartGold), SS (SoulSilver), and BW2 (Black and White 2). While there should be a lot of info that will surface in the next few days, there is one major piece of info that has been making the rounds online, and it’s seemingly a confirmation of a new Pokemone game with the codename “Synapse.” This new game in the series is said to be in development by Game Freak, and ILCA, and will be “battle-focused”. Who Is ILCA?
While ILCA might not be a household name like Game Freak, the studio has worked on the franchise in the past with Pokemon Home, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The latest game from the studio is action-RPG Sand Land for Bandai Namco Entertainment. Bear in mind, this is still unconfirmed, and as such, should be taken with a grain of salt. There is a chance that this project has been renamed or even scrapped entirely).
While the latest mainline Pokemon game released by Nintendo wasScarlet and Violetback in 2022, we do know that there is another game in the works titled Pokemon Legends: Z-A which is set to hit the Nintendo Switch sometime in 2025.
