Jujutsu Kaisen: All Major Deaths In The Series So Far
Jujutsu Kaisen never shies away from killing off the main characters.
When that chapter was unveiled, devoted followers expressed their grief through candlelight vigils and even resorted to sending threatening messages to Gege. As of now, Gojo hasn’t returned, and while there’s no confirmed plan from the writer, zealous fans have tirelessly scoured for clues hinting at his imminent resurgence. Firstly we would love to give a shout-out to@BIGDADDYGOJO, who took the pain of gathering bits and pieces and came up with a strong theory of how Gojo Satoru’s return seems inevitable. The person behind the account has brought all the evidence on the table; from the start of the series to the recent chapters and music video, how everything was planned by Gege since the start.

Hints Given In The Latest Music Video Dedicated To Jujutsu Kaisen
A few days back, a new music video titled “Avant” for Jujutsu Kaisen was released on the officialYouTube channel of Eve, the artist behind the opening theme song of the first season. The YouTube videoboasted a great animationwith things revolving around the series like Sukuna’s fingers,Prison Realm,Death Womb Paintings, multiple hand signs, Domain Expansions, and a lot more. Interestingly, we also see a fish cut in half, a metaphor for Gojo’s death, as we see Sukuna comparing him to a fish during the battle.
Now, these are all the things with a familiar ground, but, there’s a moment within the song that certainly had a deep meaning and has to be a hint at something bigger, YES, it could mean Gojo will be back, and we’ll explain that further. A part within the song (1.25 to 1.29) could be a strong hint about Gojo Satoru’s return.

In that part of the song, you see Gojo’s eyes, with some chains spinning around them. Then, unexpectedly, one of his eyes gets wrecked in the video.Could it just be a random occurrence? It’s worth noting that there isn’t another moment like this anywhere else in the entire song. The chains in Jujutsu Kaisen depict the Binding Vow, a set of contracts made by someone with themselves or with others, and engaging in a Binding Vow has dreadful consequences of its own.
Gojo Satoru Might Have Done A Binding Vow
When Sukuna explains to Yuji how Binding Vows work, the pattern of the chains revolving on the screen is exactly the same as we see in the music video.Showing the Binding Vow chains on Gojo’s eyes would definitely mean that Gojo has done a Binding Vow, which we aren’t aware of, and as a result of the vow, he will lose one of his eyes.
We’ve got some compelling evidence within the series that strongly supports these statements. First and foremost, the biggest evidence we see is during the fight between Sukuna and Gojo. Remember the time when Gojo used theHollow Purple Techniqueagainst Sukuna? At that moment, Sukuna thought to himself that Gojo was using Hollow Purple at 120% with the Binding Vow.Now, the thing to pay attention to here is, that we never saw Gojo making a vow within the series, so why would Sukuna mention such a thing completely out of the blue?

Jujutsu Kaisen: Gojo’s 8 Funniest Moments, Ranked
Gojo is like a box full of surprises!
Second evidence is brought with the story focusing on Miwa all of a sudden in chapter 244 and discussing her Binding Vow back in the Shibuya Incident Arc.We learned that Miwa made a Binding Vow, granting her just one more chance to unleash her sword’s full potential. This was the price she needed to pay for her Vow.
If we anticipate Gojo’s return, he’s likely to reappear wielding incredible powers surpassing his former self. Yet, one missing eye might limit him to using his abilities for the final time.Nevertheless, it would undoubtedly be an exceptionally worthwhile return, exemplifying the Binding Vow’s impact in Gojo’s case.

Gojo’s Eyes Seen Darkened In The Final Attack
There’s also a scene when Gojo in his final move against Sukuna uses one of his most powerful attacks, Hollow Technique: Purple. But little did we notice, at that time, his right eye was drawn completely dark by Gege, and it was possibly done on purpose to give us a good hint at Gojo’s Binding Vow and how it impacted his eye. Finally, as we saw Gojo lying on the floor, @BIGDADDYGOJO noticedsome fading lines in Gojo’s right eye, indicating that he finally lost vision in his right eye, and now he will be back with a Binding Vow applied to him.
Gojo’s goal was never to remain the strongest. In fact, he wanted the coming generation of Sorcerers to surpass him. If sacrificing his powers forever meant eliminating the King of Curses and using his abilities one last time at full throttle, Gojo would have undoubtedly deemed it a sacrifice worth making. On top of that, if the battle between Sukuna and Gojo had ended with Gojo’s victory, it wouldn’t have made up a great story. Neither could we have seen the full potential of Sukuna, and the powers of other Sorcerers wouldn’t have been explored either. But now, with Sukuna messing things further, and more sacrifices being made, we can expect Gojo to return soon, a moment we are all waiting for desperately!
