2K Sports was relatively quiet for a while when it came to information about NBA 2K22, but that has changed more recently, including the reveal of the top NBA 2K22 player ratings today.

The NBA is currently in the lull between seasons following the Milwaukee Bucks' capturing of their second-ever championship, with the start of the 2021 season not coming until October.

“The Greek Freak” Giannis Antetokounmpo helped lead the Bucks to that very title, while also receiving the Finals MVP award as a result. He has proven that he is one of the best players in the entire NBA and that is being reflected with him being part of a four-way tie at the top in the NBA 2K22 player ratings.

Top 10 Overall NBA 2K22 Player Ratings

The officialNBA 2K Twitterstarted to reveal some player ratings for the upcoming game today, including the top 10 overall NBA 2K22 player ratings, which feature the usual suspects that have led the league for years now.

As you can see in the above NBA 2K22 player ratings, there is not a large disparity amongst the top 10 rated players in the game, with only two points separating any one player on the list.

Interestingly enough, the highest-rated player in the game is only a 96 overall with a four-way tie between the top players. Compared to say Madden that always has 99 rated players, NBA has a lot fewer players in it and rarely goes that high.

What Is Twitter Saying About Player Ratings?

As with any ratings reveal, there are going to be people online that disagree with it. LeBron James in particular has had several fans expressing the sentiment that he should be rated higher in the comments of the ratings post on Twitter.

James Harden is another player that people are saying deserves to be rated higher as well.

And then there are people wondering why the highest-rated player is only a 96 overall too.

NBA 2K22 is set to release on September 10 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
