Masashi Kishimotospent hundreds of chapters trying to portray Itachi as the bad guy. But whenthe audience did find out the reality, it was too late, and the character was already saying goodbye to his brother for the second and final time. During his farewell, Itachi apologized to his brother and gave him a last smile and a playful poke before leaving the world.
Sasuke had spent his entire childhood hating his brother and blaming him, but now that a chance for reconciliation was here, he could barely take any advantage of it. Itachi reminded Sasuke how much he loved his little brother, and fans would have clung to him if it was physically possible to keep him from dying.
Of course, you cannot forget Minato’s farewell, either. After being reincarnated due to Edo Tensei, Naruto had the chance to fight alongside his father. But Minato’s second chance at meeting his son was limited, and soon, it was time for the Jutsu to end. Meruem might have had some extremist ideals, but his soft-heartedness towards Komugi had melted everyone’s hearts. After Netero detonated the Poor Man’s Rose, Meruem was poisoned by it, and he knew his death was near.
Komugi stays by his side despite knowing the poison is contagious, and they play Gungi till Meruem passes away.Komugi never leaves his side and passes away soon after Meruemwhile holding each other’s hands.
