What Happened Previously On My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex
In the previous episode, we saw a glimpse of their past when Yume enters Mizuto’s room for the first time. She was under the impression that they were finally going to consummate their relationship, but instead, they spent their time reading books. As a consequence, Yume becomes upset, and Mizuto gets angry with himself. Their placement in different classrooms intensifies their fight even more.
Yume was never a very social person and only talked to Mizuto. But after she was put into a different class, she made her first friend, which made Mizuto jealous and resulted in an altercation with her. Yume, in turn, blamed him for having an affair with another girl. Although they realized their mistakes, their ego never let them apologize to each other.
They never completely broke up but never talked to each other or celebrated their special days with each other either. Finally, on the day of graduation, they broke up. But it wasn’t long before their parents announced their engagement and forced them into becoming step-siblings. At the end of the episode, the scene cuts to the present, and they again blame each other for not consummating their relationship on that day.
