But a nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role was not in the list, which left many fans shocked.

When the nominations for the Oscars this time were round the corner, Lily Gladstone and Martin Scorsese knew that good things were coming their way. The 37-year-old was staying close to the Osage tribe to give them the good news.
When the nominations were released, she rushed back to her tribe from Pawhuska, Oklahoma to break the news. But she was shocked about one thing – how was Leonardo DiCaprio overlooked yet again? It was one of his finest performances. And not just as an actor.

This would remind many of the statement Ryan Gosling made in reference to Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig’s Oscar snub. But one should not forget that the movie wouldn’t have been a reality without Leonardo DiCaprio. It was theWhat’s Eating Gilbert Grapestar who was the brains behind many modifications in the script, changing the narrative of the movie altogether. Those changes are what made the movie tick in the end.
That is why his exclusion will sting more than anyone else’s to fans across the world.
