Konami has multipleSilent Hillprojects in the work, and according to industry insider Dusk Golem (viaReddit), a fresh batch of trailers may be released in the coming days. Fans were left disappointed with the lack of Silent Hill at the recent PlayStation Showcase, as many were hoping we’d receive further details following the announcement at last October’s Silent Hill showcase.
Several teases by Dusk Golem on The Snitch’sDiscord(another leaker with a strong track record) mention that we can expect several Silent Hill trailers soon, possibly even before the month comes to a close. Supposedly, we were to get new trailers forSilent Hill 2 Remake, Silent Hill: Townfall, and Silent Hill Ascension, which is an upcoming interactive experience where the viewer determines the course of the story in real-time. Moreover, they stress that they have actually seen these trailers, not just heard about them.

Dusk Golem also adds that the Silent Hill Remake 2 trailer should be released before this year’s Summer Game Fest. Silent Hill: Townfall is apparently on track for a 2023 release as well, as they note that the game was also part of Sony’s recent fiscal year report. However, the discussion on Discord also fueled speculation about the whereabouts of Silent Hill: The Short Message, which is more of a myth than anything else. We only know so little about it other than the fact that it was rated on a Taiwanese board along with an ambiguous synopsis.
As for the quality of what we’re getting, Dusk Golem seems to like everything that they were privy to, saying that “Ascension looks great graphically” and that Silent Hill: Townfall looks interesting enough for them to be “on board”.
The leaker also shared some details on the Resident Evil series. Taking toTwitter, Dusk Golem said that fans shouldn’t get their hopes up for anything related to Resident Evil 9 this year, as they “don’t expect it to be announced”, and if it is, they’ll be “very surprised”. There is no mention of Silent Hill F at all, the upcoming Silent Hill visual novel that our very own Audreyhas high expectationsfor and hopes that its esteemed author will not let her down.
