MindsEye, developed by one of the former lead devs ofGrand Theft Auto, is establishing itself as one of theyear’s biggest flopsandworst-reviewed games of the year.
That hasn’t stopped the game from rising to the top of sales charts, though. In what’s likely nothing more than morbid curiosity, MindsEye was thefourth best selling game in the UKfor the week ending June 14th. Given the game’s constant negative reception, I don’t expect that to stay for long.

The hatred on these wasn’t warranted.
However, some people on social media disagree with this critical assessment. They claim that they’re having a blast playing MindsEye. “I’m loving the story, simulation-theiry ancient aI. Only had a few bugs but others haven’t been so lucky. reminds me of how cyberpunk launch,” one gamer claimed. “This game gave me straight up goosebumps,” said another.
There’s just one problem with these comments: they suspiciously look like they’re coming from bots.
AsMikeChannellof Outside Xbox pointed out on social media, two posters copied the first quote verbatim. The second quote isn’t being copied and pasted over and over, but accounts with bot-like behavior are sharing a similarly worded sentiment.
