Achievingfriendship level 5with a character unlocks a challenge to complete at the Forge — once you complete theForged in Hellfireresearch. After completing that research and purchasing it with credits, there will be aChallenges tabwhere you can find each character’s challenge after attaining max friendship with them. These challenges are a puzzle of sorts, leaning into the play style of the character. Upon completion, they grant access to a special outfit and powerful legendary card.

The Hunters challenge is the first one you must complete to unlock the rest — along with getting to friendship level 5. This challenge requires the use ofWhipandKnockbacksto position an enemy correctly tohit them into a crystal to win. There are three total enemies. One is close to you and grants a Whip card on death. Start by killing the furthest enemy (doing it later puts you out of position, and you’ll need the card it drops), then kill the one holding Whip.

Hunter’s Midnight Sun Challenge

That should leave the one in the middle remaining. Throw them to the right side between the rocks so that they line up in front of you and have a clear path behind them to be knocked into the crystal. Avoid knocking it too close to any walls, as you need to make sure they have a clear line to the crystal, and hitting a wall will kill them too soon.

Nico’s challenge is all about understanding ordering and making sure to redraw any cards you don’t need. The first thing you need to do is to redraw theBlood MagicandEmpowerto draw another Blood Magic card that gives youStrengthenand a secondDouble Up,which you need to deal enough damage. Use Blood Magic and then both Double Up cardsto copy the attacks in your hand.

This should give you twoWitchstorms, twoWitchfires, and enough Heroism to use them all. Use each Witchstorm so that they are split between two different targets. This will put all four enemies at 32 health, which is enough for the strengthened Witchfire to kill them all and complete the challenge.
