In the early moments ofMetaphor: ReFantazio, the protagonist arrives at the Recruitment Centre to enlist in the military, and it is here that you can partake in a brief interview with the opposing military officers.
Choosing a specific choice on a certain question in this interview directly impacts the combat stats of the protagonist.

Metaphor: ReFantazio: Every Party Member, Ranked
A diverse bunch, each vital in their own right to take down Louis, but which one is the best of all?
Depending on whether you’re doing a proper ‘min-maxed’ build of your protagonist or not, knowing which answers to pick in the Recruitment Center and which stats they affect is important so that you’re able to gain an advantage in the beginning sections of Metaphor: ReFantazio, especially it’s first dungeon, theRegalith Grand Cathedral.

Here’s a brief rundown of what to expect from the Recruitment Test, its questions, and how they can help boost your character’s stats.
What To Know About The Recruitment Test
You arrive at the Recruitment Centre shortly after the opening scene, where your carriage gets ambushed by bandits.
Aside from getting a short run-in with yoursoon-to-be comrade, Strohl, there isn’t much to do here.

After Strohl almost gets chewed out by one of the military officers, it’s your turn at the interview. First, the Haughty Captain of the duo at the table will taunt you about your Elda lineage.
Assuming you can safely ignore that (and most of the other comments about you by the Grand Trad townsfolk), the Captain will thenask the first question, the reasoning for you to enlist in the military, with the following choices to pick from:

you may safely choose any of these choices, as none affect your stats or anything related to the protagonist.
Metaphor: ReFantazio - How To Use Formations
Formations are an important tactical tool in Metaphor: ReFantazio, and mastering them can greatly enhance the effectiveness of different Archetypes.
The next question decides your starting stats for the game;the Captain will then ask what you can give to his beloved Corps, and if you possess any notable skills. You have a few options to pick from.

What Answer Should You Choose
In hindsight, the stat increases you gain via the Recruitment Centre test answers in Metaphor: ReFantazio barely contributes to anything in the grand scheme of things.
This is primarily because you only gain (and lose) a couple of points to the corresponding stats with each answer.
Even still, while the increase is minor, it never hurts to boost thecorrect statswhen it comes to working towards a character build that suits your playstyle.
So, to help you get a little headstart on proceedings, you may check each answer and the stats they affect below.
In the early game, the protagonist is great with theHealer and Mage Archetypes; both benefit from the Magic stat, so instead of stats like Endurance or Agility, which won’t make much of a difference, we strongly increase your Magic here.
