The optional boss is susceptible to ice skills and pierce attacks and it is good to bring along Strohl and Hulkenberg for this encounter. The Protagonist plays an important role by supporting allies while the fight is ongoing.
It would be wise to let Hulkenberg and Strohl inherit the Blizz attack from the Mage Archetype to exploit the ice weakness. Maneater Manjula is cunning and has a few attacks based on fire and poison, and if party members are exposed to poison, the Protagonist can rescue and heal them.

Players should avoid using fire to prevent the boss from being enraged. Maneater Manjula will drop worthwhile loot like money, experience points, and a few items as a bonus. Players can collect the Bone Helm and Rusted Weapon after the fight.

Optional bosses may seem like a waste of time; however, they can provide players with additional training before continuing the story. Studio Zero went all in for Metaphor: ReFantazio and it would be a shame to skip additional content.
