Marvel Rivals Season 3 Starts In July And The Two New Heroes Won’t Really Come As A Surprise
With Season 2, NetEase rolled out Emma Frost and Ultron as the two heroes added to the roster. For Season 3, we’re about to get two of the previously leaked heroesthat were datamined months ago; and they areJean Grey and Blade.
This was revealed by Twitch’s latestblog postabout the upcoming drops headed to players. In a premature listing that probably shouldn’t have been included in today’s announcement, it mentions Season 3’s title as “The Abyss Awakens” and will kick off this coming month.

The description of the Twitch drops outright mentions Blade and the “Phoenix,” which is Jean Grey’s alternate identity in the comics. Twitch notes, “Phoenix and Blade ignite the action in Marvel Rivals Season 3: The Abyss Awaken! Get ready for all-new team-ups, stunning Venomized costumes, and sizzling summer events that will turn up the heat. Don’t miss out—tune in to Marvel Rivals on Twitch for exclusive drops and dive into this epic new chapter!”
The Season 3 Twitch drops are marked tostart on July 11, which suggests that’s when Season 3 will start. Given how the current Battle Pass ends around that time, it looks like July 11 should be a date marked by Marvel Rivals players.
