Twitch could find themselves in a tough situation as more streamers decide to switch platforms.

For a long time, Twitch has been known as the powerhouse for gaming streams, with millions of content creators and even more viewers. The site has built a rich culture allowing many to find communities and build friendships.

Over time there have been plenty of deals offered to creators to take their streams to other platforms, take Ninja’s move to Mixer as an example.

Although Twitch has stood upfront for streamers for years, it looks like YouTube intend to make some big changes to their platform, giving gamers a more enticing opportunity.

Ludwig Leaves Twitch For YouTube and Other Streamers Aren’t Surprised

Ludwig, a huge content creator for Twitch and once the biggest on the platform, has recently announced he has made the decision to move to YouTube.

According to other streamers, Twitch hasn’t been the most responsive to their creators, whether that be acknowledging suggestions or generally just valuing their users.

Moistcr1tikal(Charlie), commented on the news in a recent stream, speaking on the issues with Twitch and how this could impact the future of the platform.

He mentioned that Ludwig is the sixth highest-earning streamer on Twitch and despite this, the platform and those in charge have made no effort to fight for him to stay.

Ludwig had previously asked to have his subs capped, meaning that viewers could only spend a limited amount of money per stream to support him.

He felt bad that his audience was spending so much money on him. Despite, an empathetic and kind request, Twitch refused.

Mizkif, another well-known streamer also commented on the current situation.

Overall it seems that streamers on Twitch want to be valued more, which is understandable. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below!
