Square Enix will be holding a new live stream for the Switch remake of legendary JRPGLive A Live, with new details and gameplay.
Square Enix will hold on May 20 the first live stream for theLive A LiveHD-2D remake on Switch. The stream will feature Yoko Shimomura, the composer of the originalLive A Liveon Super Famicom (SNES), and Takashi Tokita, the director of the original game, and producer of the remake.
The stream will be MCed by Penguins' Nobuo, a comedian who regularly appears on Square Enix stream and most notably SaGa Seriesstreams: he always has an Hawaiian shirt and a strident voice. Speaking of theSaGaseries, it’ll also get alive stream on May 31, where a new console game should get announced, seeing one has been teased to be in development for quite a while now.
Live A Live Remake Stream: Schedule and How to Watch
TheLive A Livestream will happen on YouTube starting 20:00 JST (7 AM EST), you can check it out below. Who will Rearrange the OST?
Besides some gameplay, we might get some information regarding which composers rearranged the tracks for the remake. When theLive A LiveHD-2D Remake got announced on February 10, Yoko Shimomura mentioned on Twitter that she supervised all of the new soundtracks, but only rearranged a portion of the music herself.
Live A Livewill be out exclusively on Nintendo Switch worldwide on August 04, 2025. One week later on July 29 there’sXenoblade 3coming out as well so this is bound to be an incredible summer for JRPG fans.
