After his passing, Aoi gets taken to the Hidden Realm as collateral for her grandfather’s debt. Instead of marrying the ogre-god Oodana, she chooses to run an eatery for the Ayakashi.
The narrative allows space for many heartwarming interactions, with Aoi and Oodana at the center of it all. The anime enjoys a loyal fanbase, but they had lost all hope after no updates on a potential second season after almost seven years.
