The spoilers forJujutsu Kaisenchapter 257 recently hit the internet, and fans have been shocked by the revelations made in the chapter. Not only did the chapter reveal the indefinite awakening of the protagonist, Yuji Itadori, but it also gave a glimpse at the past of Sukuna and his twin brother, whose soul reincarnated as Yuji’s father, Jin Itadori.

However, this has left fans in confusion regarding Kenjaku’s plan, and its connection with Yuji and his family. In chapter 143, Yuji’s parents are introduced in a flashback from his childhood memories, where it is revealed that Kenjkau switched bodies and took control over Yuji’s mother, Kaori Itadori.

It was also revealed that Yuji’s grandfather most likely knew about this, and he even warned Jin to stay away from her. However, a popular fan theory suggests that the events of Chapter 257 have indicated that Jin Itadori knew about Kenjaku’s plan all along and still went on to have a child with him (within Kaori’s body).

Jujutsu KaisenChapter 257 Reveals Sukuna’s Twin Brother Was Reborn as Jin Itadori

Since the introduction of the King of Curses inJujutsu Kaisen, there has been a theory going around among the fans thatSukuna was actually a conjoined twin, as he is based on the legend of Ryomen Sukuna, a renowned leader from Japanese mythology. Further evidence that supported the theory was his four arms and two mouths, which made him look like a monster.

Gege Akutamiconfirmed this theory in chapter 257, where Sukuna himself reveals to Uraume that he had a twin brother, whom he consumed in the womb because of starvation. However, his soul bounced around and eventually reincarnated as Jin Itadori, Yuji’s father. Later on, Kenjaku took over Kaori Itadori’s body, and together they conceived Yuji.

Sukuna also talked about how Kenjaku knew what he was doing and that he conceived Yuji for a particular reason. Additionally, as Yuji holds a connection to both Sukuna and Kenjaku, he has the potential to be equal to Sukuna, most likely, in terms of cursed energy and strength.

Fan Theory States That Jin Itadori Was Involved in Kenjaku’s Plan

According to aJujutsu Kaisenfan account,@JotheoriesJJK, a statement from Sukuna in chapter 257, which reads“His Soul Bounced Around Aimlessly Until It Eventually Fell Into Kenjaku’s Hands,”states that Kenjaku knew about Jin Itadori being the reincarnated self of Sukuna’s twin brother.

He knew Jin Itaodri would be the perfect father for Yuji, as it would help him not only create the perfect player for the Culling games but also ensure his strength as Sukuna’s vessel. Since Kaori died even before Yuji was conceived, Jin had to know that someone had taken over her body. Yet Jin still chose to have a child with him.

This points out that Kenjaku must have told Jin about his plan, and being the master manipulator he is, he somehow convinced Jin to be involved in it. This also indicates that Jin might have known about his role as the reincarnation of Sukuna’s twin brother’s soul; thus, he agreed to have a child with Kenjaku, who could eventually end the doom of the King of Curses inJujutsu Kaisen.
