With its mix of action, adventure, Stands, and flamboyant characters,JoJo’s Bizarre Adventurehas carved its place as one of the most iconic and beloved anime and manga series of all time. Unlike traditional anime, though, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is divided into parts or arcs, whereupon each part introduces new characters, villains, and above all, new stands.

8 Best Vampire Anime, Ranked

There are not many anime shows around vampires, but the ones that are out there offer some of the best and the most compelling stories.

You would initially expect JoJo to head in a completely different direction than where it is today. The changes to the original concept were necessary though for Araki, the author of JoJo, to unleash his full imagination and give us the JoJo we know and love. Starting off with Phantom Blood with some retcons and reboots along the way, we end up at JoJolion and though every part in between is entertaining, some fare better than others.

8Phantom Blood

Phantom Blood, the first part, serves as the genesis of the Joestar bloodline’s extraordinary saga. Set in the late 19th century, it features the noble Jonathan Joestar, whose life takes an unexpected turn with thearrival of Dio Brando.

Though Phantom Blood is completely different when compared with the rest of the parts, it still holds its own. Dio is one of the best villains in the JoJo universe whose impact carries on till Stone Ocean and although the Hamon concept was very lackluster, the classic JoJo vibes were always there from the start.

7Battle Tendency

Battle Tendency carries on where Phantom Blood left off, with new, more intimidating villainsknown as the Pillarmen. The Pillarmen, especially Kars, are fantastic villains to one of the most popular JoJos, Joseph Joestar. In essence, Battle Tendency is everything we love about JoJo dialed up to eleven.

10 Anime Characters Who Can Defeat Hulk

Marvel’s green monster is incredibly powerful, but there are several anime characters who can easily beat him with their powers.

This part unfolds with a fast-paced narrative filled with thrilling battles and displays of strategy. The introduction of Stands may be absent in Battle Tendency, but it compensates with an abundance of action sequences that keeps the audience entertained throughout.

6Stardust Crusaders

Stardust Crusaders was a turning point for the JoJo universe, taking it to new heights by introducing theconcept of Stands, supernatural manifestations of a person’s fighting spirit. With Dio now resurrected, two generations of JoJos must head to Egypt with a rag-tag group of masculine fellows to defeat Dio once more.

What people love about Stardust Crusaders is that it feels like you’re going and growing with the characters as you watch them travel half the world. The episodic feel is unlike any other and every episode seems to top the last, especially its finale. Overall, this happens to be the most memorable and popular part of JoJo despite feeling a bit stretched sometimes.

5Diamond Is Unbreakable

Diamond Is Unbreakable takes a different approach, shifting the focus to a more localized setting and embracing a slice-of-life narrative within the town of Morioh. In essence, the tone of the fourth part is completely different, however, it’s a much better version of Stardust Crusaders.

It fixes all the flaws of the previous parts, not spending too long in one position, and with afantastic serial killer as a villain, it truly reaches new heights with the narrative. The characters introduced are also unforgettable and all have their high points in the series.

4Stone Ocean

Stone Ocean introduces us to Jolyne Cujoh, the determined and resilient daughter of Jotaro Kujo. Imprisoned for a crime she didn’t commit, Jolyne becomes entangled in a battle against powerful people and a web of mystery surrounding them.

Stone Ocean stands out with its intricate plot, mind-bending twists, and a new level of psychological depth.Araki really let loose with his imagination writing Stone Ocean, with every chapter being entertaining, leaving you wanting for more. It’s also the most recent anime adaptation for JoJo to have been released and was an instant hit, making Jolyne a fan favorite JoJo.

3Golden Wind

Golden Wind is a culmination of all of Araki’s previous work taking shape into a masterpiece of storytelling. Every aspect of Golden Wind is satisfying, from the side characters to the villainsto the stands. Golden Wind is mostly disconnected from the main continuity and Joestar family, though Giorno is a JoJo through and through.

Top 10 Characters In Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Ranked

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is a series with so many memorable characters throughout the ages, it’s hard to pick the best out of the bunch!

You follow the story of Giorno Giovanna, the son of Dio Brando, who aspires to become a gangster and rise to the top of the Passione organization. Golden Wind takes the series' trademark blend of action, strategic battles, and complex narratives to a completely new level. With a killer theme, Golden Wind is many fans’ favorite JoJo part of all time.

Jojolion is the most stylish of every part so far, taking a truly artistic approach with its paneling. Set in an alternate universe and after Steel Ball Run, many consider this part to be the peak of storytelling by Araki. JoJolion presents a compelling narrative that kept fans eagerly anticipating each new chapter with its blend of mystery, intrigue, and emotional depth.

The Stands in Jojolion are beyond any introduced previously on a creative scale with some very inventive powers that lead to gripping fights. Unfortunately, Jojolions only downfall is its pacing, otherwise, it would’ve been a contender for the top spot.

1Steel Ball Run

No story can ever be perfect, but Steel Ball Run definitely comes close. Often regarded as a masterpiece in the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series, this part takes us on an unforgettable journey across the United States.
