Jim Carrey is back as the beloved Doctor Ivo Robotnik inSonic the Hedgehog 3. The threequel sees Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles team up to bring down Shadow, a powerful hedgehog who the Government creates. Keanu Reeves plays the antagonistic character in the film.

The recently released trailer of the threequel confirmed the return of Carrey, whose character was presumed dead in the previous film. The trailer also revealed that theAce Venturastar would be playing the role of Ivo Robotnik’s grandfather Doctor Gerald Robotnik. The actor had announced his retirement from acting after the release ofSonic 2.

Fans seem to be ecstatic about the actor’s return as the character had been implied to be dead in the second film.
