Jeff Probst has never shied away from showcasing his deep love and admiration for the reality showSurvivor. So much so that even after becoming the showrunner of the project, he continued his hosting duties. While it was tough for creator Mark Burnett to make him accept the position, after he indeed took over the showrunner duties, he incorporated several new elements into the show.

This passion of his was evident to everyone, and even he detailed in several interviews how he wanted to bring in moreSurvivorseasons for the viewers. While the show is currently airing its 47th season, Probst has already planned ahead for the 60th.
Jeff Probst Sets His Sights on Season 60 for Survivor
For more than two decades,Jeff Probsthas been the main face ofSurvivor, serving in different capacities. He initially started his journey on the show as a host and then transitioned to being an executive producer as well as theshowrunner. To do full justice to his position, Probst works day and night to keep every season fresh with exciting challenges and tasks.
In a past interview withVariety,he showcased the same excitement and detailed what he has planned for the competitive reality show. This chitchat happened while the 47th season was in post-production and being filmed in Fiji. Probst detailed how he’s already thinking about Season 50 and beyond for the show. He added:

When you’re in an executive producer position, you have to have a global look at the show. I can’t just be worried about this season. I have to go, ‘How are we going to get to 50?’ And then, ‘What’s 51? How do we get to 60?’ So, I’m always taking a big picture view.
Probst also mentioned that with the showrunner’s responsibility, he has to look at the bigger picture with a new lens to approach his role. He emphasized that he must consider the future ofSurvivor, from the 50th season to the 60th one.

It is also his responsibility to make every season great and better than the last one. Even amid the pressure, he remains optimistic about the show’s future.

Jeff Probst has been withSurvivorsince its inception in 2000 and has played a huge role in its success. However, even he had moments of doubt, especially during the show’s 12th season titledSurvivor: Panama. He detailed in an interview withEntertainment Weeklythat it was during this season that he actually thought about saying goodbye toSurvivor.
By the time he reached the 16th season, he was making less than actors on scripted shows, despite having lower ratings thanSurvivor. However, despite these thoughts, he continued his journey on the show, which proved to be quite significant for his career.

With several years of experience, he waspromotedto more important titles, allowing him to shape the show in new ways.
