With Season One of Amazon’sInvinciblecoming to a close, when will Season Two release?
Fans of the animatedAmazon Prime show,Invincible, will be very happy to learn that when Season one finishes up, they’ll have a brand new Season to dig their teeth into.
Based on the comic book series by Robert Kirkman whoco-createdÂThe Walking Deadand who is also Chairman of Skybound Entertainment,Invinciblestars Mark Grayson, a normal teenager apart from the fact that his dad is the most powerful superhero on the planet, who eventually starts to develop super-powers of his very own.
Taking toTwitterin a video, Kirkman announced that, alongside Steven Yeun (Glenn fromThe Walking Dead) who voices the showâs main character, the popular show will be coming back for Season two and also a Season three.
âWeâre gonna make two more seasons,â Kirkman said. âHopefully weâre gonna make a hundred more seasons!â
When will Season 2 air on Amazon Prime?
As of this time of writing, Amazon is remaining tight-lipped onwhen Season two ofInvinciblewill be released.
Speaking toColliderlast month, Kirkman spoke of the production time and the challenges the team will face when coming together for Season two but seemed to remain hopeful that not as much will need to be accomplished this time when it comes to continuing the series.
“The production timeline is somewhat daunting. I think that we spend a number of years developing and working on this season. As we hopefully move into season 2 and beyond, things will tighten.”
“There’s definitely a lot less designing and different things that have to happen to move into our second season. And it’s entirely possible that there’s already work that has been done on the second season. So I think we’re in a good place to be moving forward were this show to end up being successful.”
Speaking toThe New York Times, Kirkman also mentioned that the pandemic has, obviously, had an impact on the show and has influenced development time.
âIt definitely cost us some time because we had a team in Los Angeles, a team in Vancouver and a team in South Korea, and they were all working together in offices,â Kirkman continues âEveryone had to stop and verify that they had the technology available to shift from working in the office to working from home.â
As it stands,InvincibleSeason two could see the light of day at some stage in 2022 with everything being well. In the meantime, I’m confident that we will see plenty of trailers for Season 2 that will hype fans up.
