With that said, an industry insider predicts thatAlien: Romulus‘ storyline will invoke the se*ual elements similar to the original Ridley Scott movie.
An Industry Insider BelievesAlien: Romulus‘ Storyline Will Have Similar
Industry insider Jeff Sneider in arecent podcastexpressed a desire for a fresh perspective in the upcomingAlien: Romulusmovie, suggesting a different time or setting for the narrative. Despite this, he anticipates the film to be provocative and edgy, citing his admiration for director Fede Alvarez’s daring style, akin to that of David Fincher.
“It literally looks like a remake”: Alien: Romulus Trailer Surely Goes Back to its Horror Roots But the Setting is Still Too Reminiscent of Ridley Scott’s Original Movie
”I would have liked to have seen the alien approach to that like at a different time in a different place or something but it just kind of seems like more the same that we’ve already seen. I think it’ll be mean it’ll be nasty I like I’m looking forward to it because I like fed Alvarez and and you know I don’t mean this in the way you guys are going to take it to me Fed Alvarez, like myself , like David Fincher is a pervert. I mean you can you can see that in the film making okay and I like that I like the idea of a pervert making an Alien movie.”
The conversation delved into the sexual undertones inherent in the franchise, with Sneider and others acknowledging its integral role. They highlighted imagery from past teasers, including blood on the walls and phallic alien designs, as emblematic of this theme. Speculation arose regarding potentially controversial scenes in the upcoming film, such as an “a**-bursting” moment, adding to the anticipation surrounding its release.

”I mean it’s like I mean very it’s like seually. You don’t hold on the semen dripping off of the turkey baster in Don’t Breathe, right? You don’t there’s no need to s** to show that kind of stuff unless you’re a pervert.
I mean that as a compliment to him again, I understand the way that people may take that word but um there’s not necessarily a negative connotation to the word. Teah Adam says Alien has to have a sexual element to be fair I don’t, I kind of agree, I know I think I know what he’s getting at with that I think I know what he’s getting at I know it was a big deal in 79 Sorney in her bra and panties or short shirt and panties I know that was sexual or attractive or whatever it was meant for the young boys there but like, some of them but I don’t remember any of that in Aliens what’s the image.

From the teaser, the blood on the walls, Romulus okay yeah for me it was very much much the thing either coming I think it was coming out of someone’s mouth, that’s the sexual element that I think I’m talking about interesting okay, you know that’s that’s what you take from it.”
Despite reservations about the familiarity of the premise, Sneider remains optimistic about the film’s potential, citing input from esteemed directors Ridley Scott and James Cameron as a promising sign of innovation within the franchise.

James Cameron Had To Improvise In A Big Way To Make The Monster ForAliensDue To Budget Constraints
James Cameron might be one of the best directors of all time, but he isn’t a miracle worker. This was the same case for the sequel film –Aliens. As revealed by the Netflix documentaryThe Movie That Made Us Aliens, Cameron’s team had to create the Alien Queen – a whole new monster for the movie. They ended up doing what they called theTrash Bag Queen.

”We did what we called the Trash Bag Queen. We used foam core and black garbage bags. It was a quick and dirty look at how you may put two stuntmen together inside a queen-sized body and have them operate arms.”
Considering the fact the team had to create 20 aliens for the movie, it is truly remarkable they all managed to brainstorm such an idea and build a makeshift alien in order to ensure the Alien Queen would become a reality.
