Easily one of the best shows from Eric Kripke,Supernaturalhardly has any elements worth hating or those hard to love. Over the course of 15 seasons, it has managed to deliver epically beyond viewers’ wildest imagination, coupling the emotional factor perfectly with the horror and thriller. Even then, some discrepancies still seem to have seeped up in the saga.

As much as these disputing factors made the very rare minority of the episodes unpleasant and cringe-worthy to even witness, it’s also something that showrunner Kripke has learned to openly criticize. This stands especially true for some of the opening seasons of the meritorious lore, which were so horrendously bad that even Kripke frankly hated it.
TheSupernaturalEpisode That Even Erik Kripke Hates
Though there aren’t many episodes worth trolling as the horror series progressed into becoming one of the most iconic, spine-chilling, and consistently entertaining shows of all time, the initial episodes ofSupernaturalstill deserve a bit of roasting. And this isn’t just for the fans to say, for even show creatorErik Kripkehas hated on them. LikeWendigo.
The second episode of the first season,Wendigowas a sheer and utter disappointment as, instead of bringing about demons or spirits, it had its first monster debuting, presumably to leave fans terrified at night. Except it just seemed to fail to land the mark asthe Winchesters’ battlewith the monster settled on a rough second step for a show in its infancy.

“I didn’t wanna jinx it”: Supernatural Prequel Drama Nearly Drove a Wedge Between Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki
If that wasn’t enough, even Kripke further added fuel to the fire, admitting in a series retrospective how disappointed he was with it all (even though he was actually the one to pen it down in the first place). PerThe TV Addict, the series creator is cited to have noted about the respective episode, “If that sounds like that sucks, it does, and the episode did.”
While the mastermind creator’s humility to admit his own shortcomings all the while mocking his work is appreciable, this episode from season 1 still ranks asone of the least-liked onesof all the other bangers among many. But, surprisingly enough, it’s not the onlySupernaturalepisode that was not only a rather bad watch but was even mocked by the writers.

Season 1 Episode 8BugsWas Even Worse ThanWendigo
If you thought the worst part of the entireSupernaturalsaga was the depiction of people essentially walking through the woods and killing a fake-looking creature, you may as well have been wrong, for one other episode seems to surpass that limit. This episode would be the eighth of season 1,Bugs(yes, yet again, this episode came in season one too!).
As cringe-worthy as that pretty much forgettable episode was, it brought to light that a Native American curse was behind the bugs, coming down with a cliché-riddled and replete with gross visuals episode.

The Only Reason Eric Kripke’s Supernatural Had Talent Just as Good as The Office and Star Trek Despite Being Set in Different Genres
Not only has it gone on to be ranked as the lowest-ranked episode of the series to date byEntertainment Weekly, but the site also claims that even the show’s writers mocked it in season 4’sThe Monster at the End of This Book.
But even though these two episodes brutally failed to deliver resulting in an episode that felt like the creators forgot to make sh-t terrifying and just left the viewers with a disgusting hour, they can be calmly swept aside while recognizing all the other star-studded episodes of theJensen AcklesandJared Padalecki-led horror-thriller lore.

Well, either way, Supernatural can currently be streamed on Netflix.
