Developed by Avalanche Studios, the 2015 open-world action-adventure title combined elements from several games. However, it appears George Miller was not very happy with that launch. If there is one thing Kojima is known for, it’s thinking outside the box. HisMetal Gear Solidgames offered some truly innovative features, withMetal Gear Solid 3: Subsistenceoffering a variety of unique game mechanisms. Such a game should not be expected anytime soon, though, as Kojima must be busy with the final development phases ofDeath Stranding 2: On the Beach.

If Kojima ever decides to take up such a project, it would be interesting to see his perspective on theMad Maxuniverse. It is far more action-packed than his usual games, but the Metal Gear franchise has shown Kojima is no stranger to surreal and bizarre universes.

Ever since he departed from Konami, people have been following Kojima’s moves very closely. The man is close to many directors in Hollywood and worked with Guillermo del Toro for bothDeath Strandingand the infamousP.T.that was to become a newSilent Hill.
