7 Days to Dietook over a decade to get a 1.0 release, but if some fans’ words are to go by, this game needed more time to cook.

Specific ‘quirks’ of the game have left some fans less than impressed, with one Reddit user talking about a particular issue that has struck a nerve. Inadvertently, they’ve opened the floodgates for people to name their own grievances about the game.
7 Days to Die Has Some Issues That Are Hard to Ignore
A Reddit user has a bone to pick with a relatively minor but recurring issue in7 Days to Diethat’s hard to ignore.
As they explain, when riding a minibike or motorcycle, there’s a noticeable pause in the audio before it loops, creating a jarring and annoying experience.

Calling it “rookie stuff” on The Fun Pimps’ part, they argued that the sound could have been edited to loop seamlessly and suggested that if Id Software had polished the game, the graphics would be silky smooth and the zombies truly terrifying.
“Game doesn’t really feel like a complete game”: 7 Days to Die Players Are Beginning to Ask an Uncomfortable Question Ahead of 1.0’s Full Release
For context, Id Software is known for its hand in developing iconic games likeWolfenstein 3D,Doom, andQuake. There were quite a few replies under the post, and it looks like OP’s concerns with the game are just the beginning.
Audio Issues Aren’t the Only Problem This Game Has
The Reddit post quickly gained traction, as many fans chimed in to agree with OP and voice their frustrations with the game.
Criticizing a game in its own community usually nets a ton of downvotes, but even regular players of7 Days to Dieseem fed up with its issues, likethe severe lack of zombies.

One player replied by saying that the state of the game shouldn’t be a surprise because the developers have been slacking in many of its aspects. A reply under it agreed, saying the developers simply don’t care about it anymore.
Supposedly, this specific problem with the audio has been a thing since the Alpha 20 release of7 Days to Die, which was released toward the end of 2021.

“Play however you want to play”: Just Like Elden Ring’s Mimic Tears, Some 7 Days to Die Players Won’t Allow Others to Enjoy the Game if They’re Not Playing ‘Properly’
This doesn’t inspire much confidence in the developers, who had plenty of time to fix this minor nuisance.
A reply frustratingly claims that the game is filled with “sloppy stuff.” They’re not even aware of the issue that OP is claiming to experience, yet they don’t doubt that it’s happening, “given how everything is.“

With so many people claiming to notice the unpolished nature of7 Days to Die, the developers might have a bigger problem on their hands than some small issues they can afford to overlook.
