This is a giant leap for Disney, a studio known for producing family-friendly films. Reynolds claimed there’s no other way to make aDeadpoolmovie than to inject it with its main ingredients: violence, profanity, and adult humor.

I hope this doesn’t sound condescending, I’m really proud of them for doing this. I think it’s a huge step for them. It adds a whole other color to this kaleidoscopic wheel that is that company and the different people that they have been entertaining for forever.
He is very grateful that the film was granted a Hard R, something the actor believes is the only way to properly execute the project. Reynolds thinks that this is “the most full-throated version of Wolverine or Logan” and he’s excited for fans to witness it.
The movie also allowed the entire team to have creative freedom. TheFree Guyactor said they are “not exploiting the R rating just to do R-rated stuff” but the studio gave them permission to explore everything that can be done within theDeadpooluniverse.

Shawn Levy, helmer of the upcomingDeadpool & Wolverinemovie, said viaAssociated Pressthat fans don’t need to have a prior knowledge of the comics or even the past films to enjoy the movie.
I very much made this film with certainly a healthy respect and gratitude towards the rabid fan base that has peak fluency in the mythology and lore of these characters and this world. But I didn’t want to presume that. This movie is built for entertainment, with no obligation to come prepared with prior research.
He remarked that despite making it entertaining, he paid respect to the source material and kept the tone of the movie. There would be no softening of the edges, but instead, it would be all-out audacious.
