The sandworm-shaped bucket was an object of ridicule from fans as well as the stars themselves. Ryan Reynolds recently released theDeadpool and Wolverinepopcorn bucket as a joke, to which Villeneuve has responded.

While the film gave social media many meme-worthy instances, one of the biggest memes to come out of the movie was not even part of it but was a marketing stunt. TheDunepopcorn bucket by AMC theaters with its sandworm-shaped design quickly became viral due to its inaccessible design and s*xual connotations. Even the stars of the film were embarrassed to lay their hands on it (viaYouTube).

TheDeadpool and Wolverinepopcorn bucket is designed in the shape of Wolverine’s head with a gaping mouth as the opening to put the popcorn in. Reynolds’ video sees him caressing the bucket and pouring butter on it as orchestral music plays in the background.
