Henry Cavill is famous for morphing his body into whatever role he is playing. Since most of his roles are quite physically challenging, he has no choice but to frequently spend hours in the gym, and from the conversations he has about the topic, he would not have it any other way. Michael Fassbender is in a similar boat as the Superman actor, having played his fair share of physically challenging roles.

During an interview withEmpire,Charlie Hunnamtalked about how he ended up getting the role of King Arthur in 2017’sKing Arthur: Legend of the Sword, and the story is quite interesting. During his audition, the actor was supposed to act in front of the director, Guy Ritchie himself. With so much already on his mind, when the actor was told that he was not of the ideal physique for the role, something seemed to snap. He quickly tried to convince the director about his capabilities in quite an odd manner, convincing him that he was physically stronger than everyone else who was auditioning for the role.

‘I know those other pricks you’ve got reading for this role (namely Henry Cavill and Michael Fassbender). If you bring them in right now, I’ll fcking fight them both at once for the role, and we’ll see what’s up with the physicality.’ Guy said, ‘Fcking hell, alright – calm down, mate.’

He then took a step further and told Ritchie that he would be willing to get into a fight with any of the other actors to prove that he was stronger and deserving of the role. Although the director was quite taken aback by Hunnam’s display, it was quite likely this encounter that got him the role in the 2017 film.

Henry Cavill and Michael Fassbender Are Easy Knockouts for Charlie Hunnam?

While anyone can claim that they can beat Cavill and Fassbender in a fight, the truth of the matter would likely be a lot different. Both the actors are in peak physical shape, frequently going to the gym and having spent years building muscle and adding to their strength. They have also been professionally trained in various crafts.

Specifically for his role asThe Witcher, Cavill learnedhow to fight excellently, not to mention his sword-fighting skills which are simply cool to look at. Fassbender is not far behind, as he was taught a lot of fighting techniques when he was preparing for his role inAssassin’s Creed.Additionally, both the actors have been professionally trained in mixed martial arts, being well-versed in boxing and Jiu-Jitsu.
