Misha Collins is one of the actors who has been the face ofSupernatural, just as much as the two leads of the series have been. It is difficult to imagine a show without Collins in it, given that the character essentially serves as a third protagonist in the story.
Misha Collins revealed that he did not go into the show expecting it to become a full-time gig, but it ended up becoming one of the roles that came to define the actor’s filmography. Speaking with TV Line, the actor revealed what he actually thought the show was.
Misha Collins thought that his part was just another guest spot in the show
Speaking withTV Line, Misha Collins talked about how he was not aware of the show before he joined, and how he considered the role to be the simple guest spot. Never did the actor think that he would become a regular on the show. He said:
I really hadn’t watched the show, so I didn’t even know what the tone was, and I didn’t know what really was happening. I just sort of saw it as another guest spot that wasn’t a big deal, and I was kind of not putting a lot of stock in it, I guess.
Given that this would be the first introduction of angels into the show, it would blow the mythology of the series wide open, which would change not only the mythology of the show but also what was possible. Eric Kripke has always been a champion of not having fixed mythology in his series, which allowed him to expand the show as he saw fit.

Supernatural did this thing, which is they had a welcome binder for guest stars, and it was a three-ring binder with menus and restaurants and a map of Stanley Park and suggestions of things to do and see while you’re in town, and it was just this strangely welcoming thing that they did.
Collins would go on to become an important cast member and an integral part of the show. Along with Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins has become one of the stars who are synonymous with the show, as one of the actors who developed a huge fan following thanks to what the show had to offer.
