Strangely, Lincoln seemed to look the part of the rustic and unkempt leading man who had to survive the zombie apocalypse.

So, when the opportunity arose for him to audition for the leading part inThe Walking Dead, he was no doubt going to take it. However, there was a tiny obstacle: the birth of his second child which had turned his sleeping schedule into a nightmare.

He also mentioned that the birth of Andrew Lincoln’s second child may have also fulfilled the requirement for Rick Grimes to be a family man with a moral compass. Lincoln then reportedly discussed the offer (with a contract for seven years) with his wife but then they quickly decided to go ahead with it.
