Celebrity interviews can get a bit monotonous if not done right but leave it to Rebecca Ferguson to keep the hosts on their toes. Whether it’s being completely unfiltered on the couch or bringing a little chaos to the set, the actress knows how to make a lasting impression on both the interviewer and the viewers.

This takes us back to earlier this year when Rebecca Ferguson was out and about promoting her latest film,Dune: Part Two.Talking about those very well-known awkward moments where you end up saying something you shouldn’t have, she shared an anecdote that left host Stephen Colbert absolutely shocked and silenced. And maybe even a little impressed.

Rebecca Ferguson Left Stephen Colbert Speechless

Rebecca Fergusonplayed the role of Lady Jessica in Dune: Part Two, the mother of Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides. Needless to say, she was phenomenal in her performance as always, and was nominated at the Astra Midseason Movie Awards for Best Supporting Actress.

As the film braced itself to hit theatres, Ferguson paid a visit toThe Late Show with Stephen Colbertwhere she once again proved that interviews could be pretty fun if done right.

During the talk,Stephen Colbertand Ferguson came to the conclusion that they like it when“things are not comfortable all the time.”In fact, they may even prefer a bit of“awkwardness”sometimes.

Ferguson admitted, though, that she never goes out looking for awkward moments, they just come naturally to her. Honestly, heavy relate. When asked for an example, the actress stated,

It’s like a moment and I think I probably shouldn’t say it by the time it’s said…What I usually say or what I have said is when I get compared and people say stuff like, ‘Rebecca Ferguson, isn’t it amazing that you get tot work with people like Tom Cruise and Hugh Jackman and all this and are getting interviewed by me, this stunning man,’ and I go, ‘I don’t care that you have a d*ck.’

In response, Colbert had nothing to say to her except look thoroughly impressed. He raised his coffee mug to her in respect while the audience cheered for the actress.

Viewers had nothing but praise for Ferguson’s charisma with one stating,“Rebecca Ferguson bringing chaos to late night interviews is my favorite thing ever!”Another added,“She’s always so chaotic in her interviews, I f*cking love this woman.”Clearly, we all love Ferguson!

Stephen Colbert Pays It Back

After getting down from the high of what had just happened, Colbert asked Ferguson if she’d like to go for the bonus question. The two then went on to read the question out loud from the placard together.

The question was about the most remarkable place they shotDune 2at, in her opinion. However, we know by now that a simple answer isn’t really Ferguson’s style. Instead, she picked up the card and gave Colbert a lesson on how to read it out loud and not be as“monotonous”as he was.

She then turned the tables and ended up asking Colbert the same question. It’s no secret thatDune 2is one of the most visually pleasing films to have hit theatres thanks to its beautiful shoot locations.

While we waited for the host to answer, he instead replied with,“I don’t care that you have a d*ck,”coming full circle. It was Ferguson who was left speechless this time around. Who doesn’t love good comic timing?!

Dune: Part 2is available to watch on Max.
