The ability to Implant Reactors is a great quality-of-life feature that makes it easier to get a viable Reactor inThe First Descendant.
The issue is that Reactor Implants are poorly explained in-game and extremely resource-heavy if you do it wrong. Fear not, Descendant, and let me show you everything you need to know.

What Does “Implant Reactor” Mean In The First Descendant?
Reactor Implants are used toadd a new Weapon Mountingto any Reactor you own. This is useful if you use multiple guns with your Descendant, as you can retain mounting bonuses when you swap weapons.
You canuse the Workbench to install Reactor Implants, but you must complete a short quest first. Fortunately, the task is easy: speak to the Descendant Instructor (the robot) in Albion, and once the dialogue has concluded, the new crafting option will be available.

Keep in mind thatReactor Implanting is an end-game activity. I strongly recommend not wasting valuable resources unless you have a near-perfect Reactor, asit’s dreadfully expensiveand resource-intensive.
Don’t bother with the mechanic until you reach Hard Mode and have a solid pool of Level 100 gear.

If you’re struggling to reach Hard Mode, make sure you use one ofthe best Descendants in the game, like Bunny.

Haha, Get out of the way!
How To Get Implant Reactor Materials In The First Descendant
The Implant Reactor procedure is exceptionally expensive, and you probably won’t have the required materials. You need200 Precise Ion Accelerators and 2000 Ion Accelerators.
Here’s where it gets a little complicated. You can craft these items with Anais in Albion, but the build time varies depending on your materials.

This is needlessly complex, but the fastest way to get everything is to build the2000 Ion Accelerators using Solenoids. Then, build100 Precise Ion Accelerators twice using Quantum Crystals.
These crafts are a massive gold sink, too. If you buy everything I’ve mentioned, it costs a whopping6 million Gold.

If you’re hurting for Gold, make sure to run your Invasions, as you get 1.5 million for your first four daily. 400% Dungeons are also decent for currency and provideETA Vouchers.
How To Implant A Reactor In The First Descendant
With all the necessary materials in hand, head to the Weapon Bench by the Training Area and choose “Implant Reactor.“you’re able to only add Implants to Ultimate (Gold) Reactors, and your currently equipped Reactor will have a green tick next to it.
You cannot change your Optimization Condition, but you may add up to two more.
You mustchoose another Reactorin your possession, which will be spent during the procedure. You will lose the Reactor, but its Mounting will be imprinted onto the first Reactor you picked.
You can Imprint any Reactor twice, which will give it three Mountings. Fortunately, all Imprints are the same price, although considering the ridiculous cost, they had better be!
If you’re wondering what Weapon Mounts to use, it depends on your build, but you can’t go wrong withthe best guns in the game.
