Caves and Cliffs Part II has finally arrived to both Java and Bedrock editions ofMinecraft, which means the new Lush Caves will randomly generate around your world with plenty of new blocks inside.

Fans have begged Mojang Studios for years for a complete Cave overhaul after the previous generations were rather lacklustre. It may have taken quite some time, but the wait is finally over and there are a total of 3 new caves to be discovered in 1.18.

What Is A Lush Cave InMinecraft?

A Lush Cave is a new underground biome type that is much more unique than other cave types inMinecraft. The Lush Caves are overrun by various pieces of nature such as moss and dripleafs.

Where To Find A Lush Cave InMinecraft

Lush Caves generate underground at any height, they are uncommon in rarity but can be located by finding an Azalea Tree above ground. The Lush Caves usually spawn under large forest biomes, but you’ll know when you’ve found one as an Azalea tree will be above it. See the picture below for an example.

Once you’ve found an Azalea Tree, simply dig down below it and you should find a Lush Cave somewhere in that area.

What Else Is Included In Caves & Cliffs Part II?

Minecraft1.18, also known as Caves and Cliffs Part II, includes 3 new Cave Biomes. The Lush, Noise, and Dripstone Caves can now be found in the latest version ofMinecraft.
