Chapter 19 ofFire Emblem: Engage, The Dead Town, seems intimidating at first glance, but with proper strategy, and a bit of forewarning, players should be able to make it through without too much hassle. This guide is sure to help there.
Notable Enemies
1. Mauvier & Micaiah
Mauvier is equipped withthe potent support of Micaiah, just as he was during the previous battle with him at Flora Port. This means that if left unchecked, he can heal his allies back to full with Great Sacrifice. Unlike the previous fight, however, he is equipped with a Brave Lance, Warp Staff, and Rescue Staff.Using these, he can deal heavy physical damage, and warp allies towards or away from himself. Finally, he has not one but two corrupted revival stones. Once these are destroyed, he will gain additional abilities, so fans must make sure to be prepared before chipping away at his health.
2/3. Corrupted Wyrms
As players may have noticed, the Wyrm labeled 2 in the map above is cut off from the main forces by a building. If they position well, they can avoid engaging in combat with this particular enemy. For Wyrm 3, however, they will likely need to either take it out or endure its attacks while they finish off Marni.
4. Marni & Roy
Also as at Flora Port, Marni is equipped withiconic swordsman Roy, meaning fans will need four rounds of combat at the very least to deal with her.Due to her irritatingly high Defense, they will be forced to rely on Mages or Defense-shredding attacks such as Eirika’s Twin Strike or Alcryst’s Luna. Like Mauvier, she has a corrupted revival stone, though only one, increasing her power once you have depleted one of her health bars.

Recommended Strategies
The main road, like the rest of the map, is covered in miasma, a terrain that reduces ally Defense and Resistance by 20 while boosting that of the enemies by the same amount. Thus, it is vital that fans bring Emblem Corrin, who will allow them to create new terrain that overrides the miasma. If Corrin is equipped onto Alear, they can even choose between every type of terrain at once, offering freedom to choose a favored terrain.
The Flame Cannons at the beginning of the map can be used to clear out some space to battle.Bringing any appropriate Cavalry-Effective weapons the player has on hand will also be a boon,as the vast majority of enemies on this map are either Cavalry, Armored, or both.

Though there are houses that can be visited, there is little reason to leave the middle of the map. Each house will spawn a swarm of Corrupted when interacted with, one of them holding an item. The house in the north has a Dracoshield, while the one in the south has an Elixir. If players feel confident or decide that the items are worth it, they can send a squad to snag them.
Care must be taken not to split forces too thinly in the pursuit of these items, however.

The first move to make in this battle should be sending Diamant or Alcryst to talk to Saphir to recruit her.Otherwise, she may make some risky moves while not under direct control. Then, fans can work their way down the main road, blocking the enemies with fire from the Flame Cannons and terrain created by Emblem Corrin.
When they begin battling Mauvier, they’ll need to make sure to deal with him quickly, as his Warp and Rescue Staves can cause trouble. They can take this chance to send an ally after the closer Wyrm, as they can be a pain to deal with (again taking care not to separate their units too much). During this battle, allowing the enemies to approach will cause them to move out of the miasma into the areas cleared by the Flame Cannons, as well as bringing them into the range of said cannons for chip damage.
Finally, to complete this map, fans need only defeat Marni and Mauvier, so if they get the chance, they can feel free to ignore the stragglers and focus down the main targets. They must be careful when doing so, however, as both can take plenty of hits to defeat and being left with too little firepower can be fatal.

Available Items
As mentioned before,it’s possible to claim an Elixir and Dragonshield by defeating the corrupted spawned by interacting with the houses. While these items are powerful, it’s crucial to weigh the risk of splitting forces to claim these items against staying together. The player will also regain the Ring of the Dawn Maiden and the Ring of the Young Lion upon completing the map.
