What Happens at the End of an Age in Civ 7?

Once an Age is coming to an end, a Crisis will begin.

This is meant to instill a sense of urgency in the game, adding new benefits with the Crisis Policies, but at a cost. There’s a crisis taking place, after all.

By this point, there’s a good chance that you have maxed out one of your research trees for Science or Civics. If that’s the case, you can research Future Tech, which allows you to advance the Age at a faster rate.
