Horizon Forbidden West seems to be shaping up for a full-on immersive experience.

Four years on from its release and it looks like players will have even more of an immersive experience in its sequel,Horizon Forbidden West, according to Guerrilla studio director.

Tucked away neatly in aWired articlewhich looked at the state of the PlayStation 5 six months on from release, lay a short fragment of information discussing the highly-anticipatedHorizon Forbidden West.

“To step away and to come back to it? Talk about giving me a gift.”

Guerrilla studio director Angie Smets talked briefly in the article aboutHorizon Forbidden West’s DualSense’s haptics capabilities that will take players beyond their expectations when wanting to remain hidden in a compromising situation ”If you want to take a stealth approach to a combat situation and you dive into long grass,” she says, “you canfeelthose long grass leaves.”

Hermen Hulst, head of PlayStation Studios, has been byHorizon Forbidden West’sside as well as getting involved in the game before leaving Guerrilla, announced in the article  “I spent some time yesterday withHorizon Forbidden Westfor the first time in seven or eight months. To step away and to come back to it? Talk about giving me a gift.”

Hotly anticipated to arrive this year,Horizon Forbidden Westhad succumbed to the rumours that it wouldn’t be ready until 2022 due to issues regarding the ongoing pandemic. Thankfully, the game still seems to be on the books for 2021.

Horizon: Forbidden Westwill launch on the PlayStation 4alongside the PlayStation 5version whenever the game releases at some point this year.
