Katara, Sokka’s skilled sister, sported various hairstyles in Netflix’sAvatar: The Last Airbender.Her most famous style, dubbed ‘hair loopies’ by Sokka—involved two looped strands. That is how Katara took care to style her hair, including a braided ponytail.
Katara felt at ease with her traditional Water Tribe hairstyle. However, in places like the Fire Nation, she had to conceal it. To blend in, she wore a typical Fire Nation hairstyle to match her disguise. But there’s this scene where she gets mocked for her loopies.
In this scene, Katara, played by Kiawentiio Tarbell, confronts Master Pakku, portrayed by A Martinez. Pakku challenges Katara to a fight to test her skills. In this scene, Pakku displays impressive skill in hand-to-hand combat. He effortlessly breaks Katara’s ice disk attack with his bare hands and dodges most of her strikes, showing agility. Moreover, he counters her attacks effectively.
