Helldivers 2is a tremendous success for Arrowhead Game Studios and Sony Interactive Entertainment, the sequel was a massive leap from the original top-down shooter to a third-person over-the-shoulder camera type of shooter.

The game is currently available on PC and PS5 but users of the rival hardware are hoping that the game will make its way to Xbox. It will be a historical moment to see a Sony first-party exclusive title being shipped to rival platforms but also vice versa.
Helldivers 2 Players Are In Need Of Reinforcements, Time To Enlist The Xbox People
Sony could use their game as a bargaining chip with Microsoft. It is extremely complicated in terms of publishers supporting their titles to be shipped on other hardware,Death Strandingwas developed by Kojima Productions but published by Sony and has made its way to PC Game Pass, but not on the Xbox consoles. Xbox is experimenting with their games on other platforms, and PlayStation may follow soon.
It doesn’t matter how powerful a console can be if it’s legally not allowed to run the games players want. Microsoft themselves have been experimenting with their latest initiative that involves porting their original exclusive titles likeSea of Thievesto the Switch and PlayStation in an attempt to gain more coverage.

Microsoft and Xbox are known for their power and resources, surely they could acquire any studio that they please and come up with their version ofHelldivers, but fans are pretty vocal that they want to join the fight and reinforce the current players ofHelldivers 2.
“Reminder Starfield was crucified for this”: PS5’s Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is Getting Destroyed, and the Console Wars Are Back
The controversial move would put Sony and Nintendo in a tricky spot as fans expect them to respond accordingly by returning the favor. Perhaps Microsoft is trying to gain enough goodwill that would encourage Sony to give their players something they have been begging for.

There is a reason why exclusives exist, they are assets and they move numbers. PlayStation has done wonders with the works of studios under the PlayStation Studios umbrella and went above and beyond by porting their popular titles likeGod of War, Uncharted, Spider-Man, The Last of Us,and many more on PC, perhaps evenGhost of Tsushimaif rumors are true. That is the extent of their generosity which could be changed if they useHelldivers 2as leverage to gainStarfield.
Starfieldis a title that PlayStation users are also interested in, some are suggesting it would be a fair trade. At the end of the day, Sony always had the leverage because of their high-quality games. Microsoft’s angle could bring an end to locking games on specific platforms but will have serious ramifications for gaming.
