After a brief tutorial,Helldivers 2throws you into the deep end, dropping you on hostile worlds infested with theinsectoid Terminidsor therobotic Automaton menace. While on these deadly missions fighting against theenemies of Super Earth, you’re going to run through your ammunition, and fast. you may, of course, utilize the Resupply Stratagem, but that has a hefty recharge, and sometimes, you’re burning through ammo at a much faster rate than a simple Resupply can handle. Enter: The Supply Pack Stratagem.

I’m tired of seeing the same meta loadouts, but nerfs aren’t the answer.
The Supply Pack Stratagem is a perfect Backpack Stratagem for those squads that tends toburn through ammomuch more quickly than you’d expect. The Supply Pack Stratagem lets youcarry 4 ammo resupplieson your person at all times that you are then able to draw from yourself — or you can dole them out to your allies as needed. This is invaluable during tense firefights when you suddenly realize you or your squadmates are low on ammo.

Head to theShip Management consoleon your ship, then tab over to Stratagems. You will find Supply Pack in theEngineering Baysection of Stratagems. The Supply Pack is one of the earliest Stratagems you’re able to unlock, being restricted only tolevel 2and costing4,000Requisition Slips. Head to the One of its primary traits is ‘Backpack,’ which means this Stratagem, once equipped, will take up the Backpack slot on your Helldiver.
You are only able to have one Backpack item equipped at a time, so this would interfere with theGuard Dog Stratagems, for example, which deploy from your Backpack.
How To Use B-1 Supply Pack
Using the Supply Pack is fairly straightforward. Once planetside, you want to punch in the Supply Pack’sunique Stratagem Code.
After a 5-second delay, the Stratagem will impact the surface where you marked with the beacon, and you can equip it by interacting with it (‘X’ on the DualSense for PS5; ‘E’ on the keyboard for PC).
The Supply Pack contains4 ammo resupplies(visible asyellow containerson your back); once these are gone, the backpack will be empty.
Supply Packs will restore the same as a Resupply, including Stims and Grenades (not just weapon ammo).
Once the Supply Pack is equipped, it can be used in several unique ways.
How To Restock Ally Ammo Reserves
Approach an ally until you receive the ‘Give Refill’ prompt (‘X’ on PS5 DualSense, ‘E’ on keyboard for PC). Input the prompt, and you’ll restock their ammo.
If an ally’s ammo is full, the indicator on them will be grayed out, and you will not receive the ‘Give Refill’ prompt.
How To Restock Your Own Ammo Reserves
Another fantastic use for the Supply Pack is to restock your own depleted ammo.
Restock From The Resupply Stratagem
When you run out of ammo reserves on your Supply Pack, it can still come in handy! If you call down a Resupply Stratagem during a mission, you can restock your Supply Pack with its ammo. This comes in handy when a Resupply isn’t fully depleted by bullet-hungry allies; you can typically scoop up any additional remaining ammo boxes to carry along with you.

Can Resupply Pack Hold 6 Ammo Boxes?
Several players have experienced a bizarre occurrence where you can acquire 6 ammo boxes in your Supply Pack — this is a bug (and not the Terminid kind). While sounding pretty fantastic initially, it can alsoremove your ability to wield your primary/secondary weaponry, and removes your Grenades, leaving you as little more than aglorified pack mule. Some iterations of the bug result in Stratagems having a 0-second cooldown, though, which can certainly be used to devastating effect.
If you experience this bug, simply reboot the game, and it will resolve.
