This pistol has it all. Alightning-fast rate of fire, a decent reload speed, and strong focus-fire potential at close range (decent at medium range, too). Due to the high rate of fire, it’s veryeasy to burn through your ammosupply quickly, making you wish for the Resupply cooldown to end fast — or hope that a nearby ally is sporting theSupply Pack Stratagem. But, with strategic use — and the right Primary Weapon to complement it — you’ll never look at another secondary weapon again.

How To Unlock P-19 Redeemer
Thankfully, you’ll be able to unlock this powerful pistol fairly early in your Helldivers 2 career. All Helldivers are enrolled in the free Warbond, Helldivers Mobilize!, which features a number of weapons,Emotes, armors,Boosters, Capes, and more.
While this first Warbond is free, subsequent Warbonds will all need to be unlocked viaSuper Credits.
The P-19 Redeemer pistol can be found on page 2 of the Helldivers Mobilize! Warbond. You will need tospend 8 Medals on page 1 in order to unlock page 2, and then you will only need tospend an additional 5 Medalsin order to unlock this incredible pistol.
Once this pistol has been unlocked, you’re able to equip it straightaway. In order to swap out your secondary weapon (as well as your primary, Grenade, and armor pieces), simple visit your ship Armory (that thin hallway leading onto the bridge).
Access the Armory, and you’ll be brought immediately to your Weaponry tab. Select Secondary (middle of the screen), and then equip the P-19 Redeemer from the following menu.

As touched on briefly in the introduction, the P-19 Redeemer is a hard-hitting, rapid-fire weapon that can dish out aserious amount of damagein the blink of an eye (but don’t you be blinking in the heat of combat, soldier!). Its damage, capacity, recoil, and fire rate outpace the P-2 Peacemaker (default pistol), and despite the P-4 Senator delivering more damage per shot, the P-19 Redeemer more than makes up for it with its rapid-fire rate of 1100 (vs Peacemaker’s 900 and Senator’s 200).
P-19 Redeemer Reloading Woes
The P-19 Redeemer can dish out great damage in a short amount of time, but with only 4 back-up magazines, you’ll learn very quickly that you can get yourself into a bad situation in a prolonged gunfight relying on this sidearm. To help lessen its ammo depletion rate, consider utilizing the P-19 Redeemer’s Semi-Automatic alternate fire. If you find you’re a bit too reckless with your clips, this is a viable alternative to curb your bullet-hungry exploits.

Having said all of this, theP-19 Redeemer truly shines in full auto, so best to use it sparingly during critical moments, where a short burst of high-damage lead will mean the difference between mission success and mission failure.
