Additionally, Double Fine has announced that a physical edition ofGrim Fandango Remasteredwill be releasing for thePlayStation 4 versionand a vinyl release ofPeter McConnell’s Remastered Soundtrackis now avaialble for pre-order via iam8bit for $29.99 and $40.00 respectively. The physical case forGrim Fandango Remasteredhas a reversible cover with 0-sleeve, a golden train ticket, and worldwide compatibility with any region’s PlayStation 4 console. Meanwhile the Vinyl comes with 2xLP, a “Many Manny Faces” cover and album art by Holly Rothrock.

ComposerPeter McConnell’s trumpet-y and rambunctious big band lounge act can finally be listened to the way it was always intended - on vintage black vinyl. Real human orchestras were rarely used for videogame music back in the 90s, but in this Remastered Director’s Cut, every note was re-recorded and performed by actual fleshy people. The results are foot-tapping and chill, turning your living room into a veritable smokey club (smoke not included).
An art show forGrim Fandangowill be on display during November 11th’sDay of the Devs eventat The Midway in San Francisco. It will continue to run from November 14 to December 31 atPWNshopin Los Angeles, with all ages welcome and free admission.
“It’s been 20 years since I created Grim Fandango at LucasArts and boy, it was a journey to say the least. But knowing how much enjoyment it brought players, it was all worth it,” said Double Fine Founder, Tim Schafer. “The best part of releasing on Switch is that returning players can now take it on the go and we have a chance to show it to a whole new generation.”
