Who could forget two of Stine’s firsthorrorstories, Welcome to Dead House and Stay Out of the Basement, as well as classics from the live-action adaptation, including The Werewolf of Fever Swamp and A Night in Terror Tower? Disney is making sure that these short stories are never forgotten, and we confirm how many episodes are in the new revival show.
How Many Episodes In The Goosebumps Disney+ Series?
The new Goosebumps series on Disney+ and Hulu will release 10 episodes in totalwithin its season 1 run on the streaming platforms. Each episode lasts between 36–48 minutes, which is a much longer runtime than the 90s series, as regular episodes would run for around 24 minutes, and only special episodes would be up at the 48-minute mark.
The original series ran for 74 episodes, spread out over four seasons, but the reboot show is conforming to a more modern layout for streaming platforms by sticking to the standard 10-episode pattern, which is also the norm for Disney competitors Netflix and Apple TV+. Instead of following original stories, this reboot series will, once again, be adapting Stine’s books, with season 1 including modern versions ofGoosebumps' classic episodes, including Say Cheese and Die!, The Haunted Mask, and Welcome to Horrorland.
Joining a group of fairly unknown young actors in the spotlight, including Zack Morris, Isa Briones, Miles McKenna, Ana Yi Puig, Will Price, and Rachael Harris, is Jeepers Creepers, Drag Me to Hell, and Tusk star Justin Long. The premise of the reboot involves five teenagers who must capture escaped supernatural forces, which is very different from the anthology format of the original series.
Goosebumps Release Schedule On Disney+
The Goosebumps reboot had a surprising but welcomed start by premiering a massive, five-episode debut on Friday, July 04, 2025. Normally series kick off with a double-bill episode, as was the case with the recently released Ahsoka show, so this binge-worthy debut was a real treat.
Now that the five-episode debut has passed,Disney will settle down into releasing one episode per week every Fridayuntil the final, tenth episode premieres on August 03, 2025—nearly one month after Halloween.
