Godfallwas one of the most notableannouncements at last years Game Awards. The title, which is being published by Borderlands' publisher Gearbox, was one of the first games confirmed to be coming to next-gen platforms. More recently, the “looter-slasher” was revealed during Sony’s PlayStation 5 reveal event asa launch title for the PS5and will be hitting the platform on November 12.
The good news doesn’t stop there for the game though. Announced via the officialGodfallTwitter account, the game has now gone gold on PS5. Developers Counterplay shared the message saying that they, and Gearbox Publishing, “can’t wait to ascend alongside you on PS5 in November.”
Godfallhas received ahost of gameplay trailerssince it was announced. The game, which is also coming to PC as an Epic Games Store exclusive, sees you take on the role of one of the last of the Valorian knights, wielding massive melee weapons to stop a catastrophic event.
The game joins a host of other high profile titles on the PS5 launch line up, many of which were announced during Sony’s most recent PlayStation 5 presentation. The other launch titles includeSpider-Man: Miles Morales, which is also releasing on PS4,Bluepoint’sDemon’s SoulsremakeandSackboy: A Big Adventure.
Despite having an impressive launch line-up, wannabe PS5 owners are struggling to pre-order consoles to play the games on. Although Jim Ryan has stated that therewill be more PS5’s at launch than there were PS4’s, prospective owners are having a difficult time finding them. This rings especially true for the digital edition whichhas been almost impossible to grab.
if you are one of the lucky ones who’s managed to nab a PS5,Godfallwill be launching alongside it on November 12 in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea and on November 19 in the UK and the rest of the world.
