Defeating The Maven
This boss doesn’t have a wide variety of moves, but she’s very fast and chains together her attacks. She may lack the raw power of some bosses, but her speed and ferocity can make her a real threat if you’re not paying attention.You’ll want to be aggressive in this fight.Dodging will most likely serve you better than blocking,but you’re also in a small room where you can easily get pinned. Keep circling the room and chasing her down until she’s defeated.
Yellow Ringed Weapon Throw
One of The Maven’s most frequent moves is a weapon throw that she will chain together several times in a row.While this attack cannot be blocked, it can be parried if you time your shield the right way. you may parry this attack while chasing her down to get in a few strikes.
Red Ringed Ranged Attack
The Maven will leap into the air with a red ring and shoot out an attack in the shape of an X.Because of the red ring,this attack cannot be blocked,parried,or interrupted.You’ll want to roll out of the way of this attack if you can. The arena is somewhat small and moving around can get difficult. Try to remain aware of your surroundings during this fight so you never get stuck.
Red Ringed Charge
Sometimes The Maven will leap forward, striking with her sword. If you evade, her sword will be driven into the ground.Because this is a red ringed attack,it cannot be blocked,parried,or interrupted.Your only option is to get out of the way as quickly as possible. While her sword is in the ground, you may move in and work on getting in a few hits to knock down her health.
Blue Ringed Ground Strike
The Maven will occasionally leap into the air, trigger two blue rings, and slam her blades into the ground for an area-of-effect attack. If you’re able to run up to her and double tap L1, you can use a shield slam to interrupt this attack.If you manage to do this, you’ll be able to work in some hits against her as well.

Interrupt The Heal
Near the end of the encounter, The Maven will try to heal herself and take the fight back to Kratos.This is an ability with blue rings, so you need to run up and double-tap L1 to interrupt her heal.After you do that, you should be able to bring her health down and end the fight quickly. If you let her heal up, she will give you a hard time and you’ll be forced to fight her all over again.
