As players indulge themselves into the deep forests and lush valleys ofGhost of Tsushima, you may have noticed some cute little foxes eagerly awaiting your attention. The best places to spot one of these furry creatures are by their dens which is often found by yellow trees, red trees, or in the snowy region of Kamiagata. From there, the fox will happily guide you to one of the Inari Shrines where you can pray to upgrade your charm carrying capacity and as a bonus, you can pet it too. Due to our love of animals in video games, an artist has taken paint to paper and has drawn the enchanting little critter upon the shoulders of the game’s protagonist, Jin Sakai.
María Emegé, who is anIllustrator from Spain, has captured the beautiful orange and white fox that roams the lands ofTsushimawho she has lovingly named “Fox of Tsushima”. Sitting on top of the Samurai Jin’s shoulders, Maria has given the fox a very mischievous expression with a wink towards the onlooker. Jin seems happy enough with the fox perched on him, seemingly giving the fox head rubs. If you’re wondering how you can do the same inGhost of Tsushima,all you have to do is follow the fox to one of the shrines,hit R2 to honor the shrine, and then turn around to see the fox waiting for some pets by pressing R2 again. Sometimes if you happen to be at a weird angle or at a shrine that doesn’t have a lot of room, petting the fox isn’t possible but don’t worry, just keep an eye out for another one as there are plenty to be found.
